GPS L2 is a frequency used by the Global Positioning System (GPS) for civilian purposes. The frequency is 1227.60 MHz, and it is used for navigation, positioning, and timing signals. The signals are in the form of spread spectrum codes and are broadcast in both the C/A (coarse/acquisition) code and the P (precision) code. The P code is encrypted by the U.S. military and is not available to the public. The C/A code is available to the public and can be used to access navigation and timing signals.
